In August 11-31, 2008 our University welcomed 24 German students, participants of the International Summer School "Computer Technologies in Mechanical Engineering", annual event held within the framework of DAAD program "Go East"

14.08.2008

From July 28 till August 10, 2008 25 people from 10 different countries took part in the International Summer School “Exploring Siberia ‘08” organized by the International Office of our University.

17.07.2008

From June 22 till July 13, 2008 the second international ecological practical school “Ecological waste management” took place at ISTU and on Lake Baikal (Olkhon island). It was held within the framework of the final stage of Russian-German project “Development of the concept of waste management in the tourist zone of Lake Baikal”.

16.07.2008

In July 04, 2008 was signed the cooperative agreement between ISTU and Baekseok University (Republic of Korea) in order to ensure the student and faculty exchanges, joint researches and other activity.

In June 5-6, 2008 our University became a place of holding of the international symposium “Quality of university management and the Bologna Process”

Consortium consisting of 8 European and 12 Russian universities including Irkutsk State Technical University was successful in applying for the grant of the European Commission “Erasmus Mundus External Cooperation Window (EMECW)”
